SOFT SKILLS.

INTERESTS.

Collector

I’m a lifelong collector, and recently a buyer and seller, of sports trading cards. The hobby has been reenergized in the past two years and it’s been great to see the community around it grow. So whether it’s eBay or WhatNot, you can find me trying to make a deal or two after the kids go to bed!

Golf

It only took me 9 holes to beat the course record at the The Reserve Vineyard & Golf Club so although I may never have my PGA Tour card, playing this sport is extremely therapeutic for me and a great way to strengthen my patience!

UCLA Bruins

As a lifelong fan of UCLA athletics, it’s been a disappointing few years - especially in men’s basketball and football. However, like my dad always says, “there’s always next year.”

Landscaping

With my dad having spent his entire career with the US Forest Service, I gained my appreciation for landscaping from him. While some people may dislike mowing their lawn, I thoroughly enjoy it! You can find me at a nursery or Home Depot every weekend during the spring and summer seasons.

Movie Nights

My parents always told me it was too expensive to go see movies at a theater so we had to wait until they made their way to Blockbuster or Hollywood Video. While they weren’t wrong about the ticket prices, I didn’t know what I was missing out on until I was in college when my girlfriend, and now wife, worked at a movie theater as a projectionist so together we watched plenty of movies and still do on our date nights.

Board Games

If you ever host a game night, just tell me when and where because I’ll be there. Yes, this is me inviting myself. You name it, I’ll play it. My current favorite is “The Settlers of Catan.” My all-time favorite board game though is “Clue” and whatever you do, don’t let me get my eyes on your suspects, weapons and rooms note pad.

Video Games

No matter my age, I’ll always be a huge fan of video games. Growing up, my mom used to give my siblings and I only one hour a day to play. Don’t worry, I’ve made up for lost time since then! From Super Mario to Call of Duty, I’ve played every game on every system. The joy I get from being able to pick up a controller and play with my kids is truly a dream come true.
